Breathwork.
“Between the in-breath and the out-breath, a natural pause, like silence in music.”
Conscious breathing, holotropic, cardiac coherence. One-to-one or in a closed circle. According to what you are going through, we choose the practice together.
( Approach )
The breath, like an instrument one learns to play.
( Frequently asked questions )
What does a breathwork session actually involve?
It is a guided time devoted to conscious breathing. At the studio in the 7th, we choose together between cardiac coherence, holotropic breathing or advanced pranayama according to what you are going through. The one-to-one session lasts 1 hr (€90).
Does cardiac coherence really help with stress?
Cardiac coherence rests on a rhythm of five breaths per minute. The heart rate aligns and the nervous system settles. It is a simple breathing exercise for managing stress, one you can then practise on your own in everyday life.
Is holotropic breathing safe?
Holotropic breathing is full and continuous, always practised in a safe, guided setting. Daphné trained in this approach in Amsterdam in 2019. It is a wellbeing practice, with no medical or therapeutic promise.
How does the breath circle work?
The breathwork circle brings together 4 to 6 people over 2 hrs, in a closed circle, at €60 per person. It is a collective, intimate format where each person's breath supports the group.

Breathwork is the art of inhabiting your breath. At Daphné Lachavanne's studio, at 3 rue Valadon in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, every session begins with listening: according to what you are going through, we choose the practice together. A breathwork session in Paris 7th unfolds in a private space, by appointment, far from the bustle of the city.
Three paths take shape. Cardiac coherence first: five breaths per minute, a rhythm that aligns the heart and calms the nervous system. It is the most accessible breathing exercise for managing stress, the one that then slips into everyday life. Holotropic breathing next, a full, continuous breath to move through, release, sometimes weep, always in safety. Daphné trained in this practice in Amsterdam in 2019. Advanced pranayama lastly, with its techniques of retention, Tummo and the Wim Hof method, for deep vitality.
One-to-one breathwork in Paris 7th lasts one hour, priced at €90. For those who prefer the momentum of the group, the breathwork circle welcomes four to six people over two hours, at €60 per person. A closed, intimate circle, where each person's breath supports the others.
This conscious breathing workshop is part of the work of Daphné Lachavanne, wellbeing practitioner and creator of L'Art de la Circulation. Booking is done online via Planity, or by email at hello@daphnelachavanne.com.
